the whole app works really well for me i dont find any struggles BUT …….. whenever i edit a short clip it sometime adds a grey screen at the end of the clip by its own or the clip suddenly paues at the end of a short footage why this made me annoyed? it bcuz i have to export and then add another layers and delete and edit more jut bcuz of those minor errors or whatever you wanna call it. other than that the app id perfect no difaclties and very easy to use 4 starts out of five

when I got it it was exactly what I was hoping for. But when I uploaded it to YouTube I realized that the audio I put in was not alined with the video :/

I was excited to see that I could download an app to finally piece together all of the videos Ive taken into one, continuous stream. Unfortunately, Ive come to find out, the videos are exported in low quality and inexplicably stop playing any sound or picture when watched wherever the videos had been merged. Its sloppy and takes forever to export- usually, my videos, if an hour long or so, will take up to 26 hours to render- and then, after all the waiting, the videos dont even work. And, if you want to reopen a previous project for any reason, the app always, without fail, crashes. Ive tried it four separate occassions in the few days that Ive had it, all with the same result: absolute garbage/ unwatchable videos. This app isnt even worth the time to read about. Its better to just actually buy a decent video editing application, or not use one at all if this is your option.

Create d a 4 min video so simply! Easy ramp up, no crashes, cool transitions and it was free. Gladly pay premium when I need it. Thanks!!

This app is amazing for making any kind of video, from gaming to a nicely edited movie! It runs smoothly, gives you some many options to choose from, and is over all very easy to use for what it can do. Although I think the full version is a bit overpriced, the free version is abosolutly incredible. Five stars hands down! Well done NCH!

It is a really good app! I use it to make slideshows and mini movies, It is really tricky to get used to but once you get the hang of it, it is way easier and simple. Overall I love it but please fix some things, such as moving the slides around and the quality of the video. I know there is a professional version but there is no way I am paying 70 dollars for an app.

Since the new update, it says I have to restore purchase to use it. When I do however, it still acts as if i’m using the basic version. When I quit out of the program and attempt to reload, it says video editor is damaged. I uninstall and reinstall and again says to restore purchase. Rinse and repeat. Will change rating if they fix the problem..

I would go so far as to say this is better than iTunes. This is a really awesome video editer that I would recomend to anyone. It is easy to use and just works really awesome.

I was looking for a free, simple video editor for my mac and thought this app would be exactly that. Whenever this program works properly, I can say that it’s an acceptable program to make basic edits to videos. Unfortunately, I have encountered many issues such as crashes and deletion of my projects. I would not recommend this app to anyone until this issues are resolved.

This stupid piece of crap software not only did NOT import my video, but managed to DELETE the entire thing while not capturing one bit. This software has lost me my job, as that footage is gone forever and I needed it for my WORK. This crap should be removed from the App store and the developers should be shot. I really wish I could use profanity or at the least award negative stars and/or sue the developers for ruining someone’s life with their ridiculous software. Wish I had read ALL the reviews and maybe I would have been smart enough to avoid this.

Before their latest update, any number of tracks for video and image files and audio files were allowed. Now with the new update, you need to update to the full version if you want more than two tracks. I used this all the time, but now I need to find an alternative because of this problem. Eveything “improved” but I can no longer do anything involving editing.

I was using it extensively, but then the update hit and now I’m limited to two layers on audio and video. I’d pay money to use this, but when editing the editing software doesn’t render to how it shows in the edit and the app timesout occasionally when working on a project. The preview is slow and is just terrible. Make the layers free again!

This was by far the best free video editing software on the market for Apple. Since the new update, only allowing you to have two video tracks and two audio tracks, my video editing has come to a stand still. I have many projects with over 10 tracks in them and now I cannot go back and edit them because of the newest update that prevents the free version from using more than two tracks of audio and two tracks of video. I am extremely dissapointed with NCH for not only doing this, but not giving current users any warning this was going to heppen (or, I never saw a warning anywhere stating they we’re going to do this). This was the best program out on market, but I think it’s time to look for something else.

In the next update can you guys please get rid of the black edges thingys because it gets really anoying and if there is a way to remove this please tell me!

Personally I think this is the best free editing software there is. I would recommend giving a trial period of the professianoal Beacuase i would buy the professional version if I knew what i was buying.

I’m going to start by saying first, I’m not a pro video editor. The most powerful software I’ve used to date is the YouTube video editor. Second, I’ve had a mac for a total of 3 days as I’m an IT professional for the Windows environment. So I’m not very familiar with either of these platforms. That being said, I’m floored at how easy to use this is and how powerful it is for a freebie. I’m editing a Harlem Shake video for church, and I was able to figure out how to import the audio track, got the “switch” spot on, and even got the framerate drop at the end easily, and all within about a half hour.

Been through many apps looking for something to work. Well I found it and it was Free. Took a minute getting use to it but already on my 4th project and have recieved compliments on the first 3. I would recommend this to anyone.
